Not to give away the book, but the author was very detailed in explaining Leon’s role in the South and how the werewolves stand on the issue of slavery. ![]() My first thought was “…it sounds like a Historical Romance, and I don’t do those…” I enjoy reading Contemporary Romance, but this book really surprised me. These two characters also made a cameo in “Taken by the Moon,” and this book looks back at the couple’s journey to be together. In this book, she writes about Leon Arnaud (a French werewolf) and Penny (a southern slave and werewolf) in 1851. Being a Black female myself, I am naturally able to relate to her characters. Violette writes Interracial Romance books-with the main heroines being Black and female.
